ABRC is proud to support and be asociated with the following programs and organizations in our community

ABRC is proud to announce our participation in the Pedal Link Project staring on April 1st and running through September 30th, 2010. The project's objectives are to collect bicycle data (miles ridden by participating members) during the referenced period which will help prove to local transportation officials just how many people are riding bicycles in the area. Participating organizations (Liberty Bicycles, Blue Ridge Bicycle Club and Asheville Bicycle Racing Club) will contribute a penny for each mile logged by their affiliated riders up to a cap decided by each organization. This money will benefit and go directly to RiverLink for the Hominy Creek Greenway Extension project, which is working to connect Carrier Park with the Buncombe County Sports Park in Candler.

We, urge our members to follow the link to the Pedal Link Project Mileage Log to register and start logging their miles. ABRC is currently planning and will soon announce plans to raise money for this project and cause. Please help us reinforce bicycle advocacy and awareness in our community. Your mileage contribution counts!!
