![]() As a volunteer organization, ABRC needs the active participation of its members to make it work. ABRC members are expected to be involved in racing and/or other support roles. This includes attending meetings, riding with the Club, volunteering for race duties, mentoring beginning riders and always riding in a responsible, courteous manner. Remember: when you are wearing a Club jersey, you're representing all ABRC members and our sponsors. How to Join ABRCIf you are interested in becoming a member of one of the best cycling clubs in the southeast or wish to to view the club membership/contract form, please click this link. For further information about the Club contact . Annual Club membership starts on January 1st every year and expires on December 31st. Club ApparelABRC members can purchase Club jerseys, shorts, socks, and other apparel through the Club at discounted rates. To view the list and pricing of available Club apparel and gear, follow the below "apparel order form" link. To order any of these items, fill out the apparel order form and mail or email the completed form, along with your payment to the address on the form. Contact with any questions. Unit prices are as discounted by the clothing supplier (Champion). There is no additional charge from ABRC. Note: We have a limited stock available. Please contact Mike Squires for availability and scheduled delivery. Club apparel orders will be placed at the end of February, May, August, and November, unless the minimum order requirements are met prior to the cuttoff date. In those cases, orders will be placed immediately. CoachingWe are fortunate to have several coaches as club members. If you are ready to raise your racing to the next level, contact them and they can customize a training plan for you. ABRC members receive a discount on coaching services (refer to above "Current Club Deals and Offers"). Payout SystemAsheville Bicycle Racing Club allocates a certain amount of cash flow to the payout system on an annual basis based on the financial assets of the Club. This payout amount will be distributed to the Club members (Associate and Associate Plus only) based upon the amount of registration fees paid by each individual member. Cash payout distribution will be tabulated and provided during the Club Year End Party. The top 3 finishers will be rewarded with the following Club apparel: 1st place - Club Jersey and shortsThe individual with the highest cash payout will be rewarded with the ABRC Cup Award. Payout distribution will be done in a manner that favors no individual or rider category or classification. Some of the events eligible for payout reimbursement include: USA Cycling (USAC) events, America Track Racing Association (ATRA) events, and "Cookie Rides". The maximum amount of cash payout for 2010 has been set to $5,000. All dues and terms of a rider's contract must be met to be eligible for payout. This includes volunteering at ABRC events.
